This 7/8″ (0.875″ decimal) plug mandrel is built for 0.035 wall tube, giving internal support at the bend point so the tube keeps a round cross-section through a large-radius pipe bending operation. Because strong-walled tube tends to hold its shape well on larger radii, a solid plug mandrel is usually all that is needed here, rather than the flexible ball-and-link mandrels used on thinner-wall or tighter-radius jobs. It has a 3/8″ – 16 mounting thread and is 4″ long, machined from steel.
