Machined from steel to 1-3/8″ (1.375″ decimal) OD with a 0.042 wall specification, this plug mandrel supports the inside radius of the tube through a large-radius bend. Plug-style mandrels like this one work well on heavier-wall tube, where the material is rigid enough to resist wrinkling without a segmented mandrel, making this a simpler and more economical choice for that class of pipe bending work. It mounts to the bending head with a 1/2″ – 13 thread and measures 4″ in length.
