Built to mate with its corresponding die, this Double Flare Upset Bead Punch forms the upset or double-flare shape in 1/4″ (0.250″ decimal) tube, roughly 028 wall thickness. Getting this step right sets up the tube wall so the finished flare has enough material to seal properly. It is a common wear item in hydraulic end-forming tooling kits and is worth replacing at the first sign of galling or rounded edges.
