Built to mate with its corresponding die, this Flare Punch forms the upset or double-flare shape in 1/8″ (0.125″ decimal) tube, roughly 028 wall thickness,. Getting this step right sets up the tube wall so the finished flare has enough material to seal properly. It is a common wear item in tube end forming tooling kits and is worth replacing at the first sign of galling or rounded edges. It is part of the 105148 series; compatible with DF tube end forming machines, and is a good fit for shops standardizing their tube end forming tooling.
