This plug mandrel supports 1-3/8″ (1.375″ decimal) OD tubing with a 0.035 wall through the bend, holding the tube round as it passes over the die. It is intended for strong-walled tube bent around a large radius, a combination where a simple plug mandrel provides enough internal support without the cost or complexity of a linked mandrel assembly. Mounting is via a 1/2″ – 13 thread, and the tool is 4″ long in steel, built for consistent tube bender tooling results.
