The SMS bender was built by Smith Machinery Service and was a clone of the Pines #2 with some upgrades.

The SMS was originally a #1-1/4 (3″ Bore bend cylinder and had been upgraded to a #2 (5″ Bore bend cylinder).

Equipped with Current Tech “CAB” Controls, Vickers valves, and an oil cooler, it’s a powerful mix of legacy strength and modern control — ideal for demanding tube bending applications across industrial sectors.
